Description

Our Heavy Duty Fork Extensions are ideal for safe and stable handling of loads which are longer than the forklift forks, offering long reach and stabilising capabilities, whilst retaining the manoeuvrability of the lift truck for conventional operating.

Manufactured from heavy duty 5mm thick steel with additional 8mm thick internal strengthening plates, all our  fork extensions incorporate a fully rounded toe, with heavy duty capping, for easy entry into and out of loads or pallets.

A removable heel pin allows for drive in entry, negating the need for manual lifting (in compliance with Health & Safety manual lifting regulations), whilst ensuring the fork extensions are safely secured to the truck forks.

For safety reasons, the fork extensions encompass a rear strap ‘closed base’ design, in keeping with BS EN recommended standards.

Manufactured to conform to ISO 13284 British Standards, our forklift extensions offer the perfect solution to long load stability handling and like all our forklift attachments, will come fully tested and certified to comply with the latest Health & Safety Regulations.

N.B. Fork extension length should not exceed existing fork length by more that 66%

What are Fork Extensions, and when would I use them?
Fork extensions are sleeves that slide over your existing forklift forks. They’re used when you need to safely lift and carry loads that are longer than your standard fork length. These Heavy Duty Fork Extensions give you extra reach and stability for long or awkward loads.
What material are these fork extensions made from?

What is the maximum fork section these extensions can accommodate?

It depends on the model. For example:

  • For 80 mm width models, the max fork section is 80 mm × 50 mm.

  • For 150 mm width models, the max fork section is 150 mm × 60 mm.

What maintenance is required?
Regularly check the extensions for any visible damage (dents, cracks), ensure the heel pin is secure, and inspect the interior strengthening plates. Keeping them clean and free from debris will help prolong their life. You can use CHEKD to help ensure checks are completed, recorded and any faults are reported immediately along with images.
